Data Protection Express

The Data Protection Express course builds on the basic data protection training and helps you quickly refresh the most important fundamentals and apply them directly in your daily work. You’ll review what constitutes personal data and data requiring special protection, which data protection principles apply, and when data processing requires a legal basis (e.g., consent, contract performance, or legitimate interest).

The focus is on practical application: You’ll receive clear guidelines for typical situations—such as handling emails and files, granting access rights, communicating with third parties, and implementing simple measures like “clean desk”. You’ll also learn how to respond correctly to data protection requests, what rights data subjects have, and what to do in the event of a data breach.
